I'm pretty sure...
… that most of the people who are reblogging these 33RPM posts don’t understand that most of this stuff actually does play at 33RPM and not 45RPM, so if it was really a 33RPM recording it would sound normal.

ANOTHER VICTIM "For The Liars And The Cheaters"... →
buske: Another Victim was a band I was in from 1997-2001. These are the last 3 songs we ever recorded (unofficially released) before breaking up and ultimately forming The Promise.  This is my favorite Another Victim material. Check this out.

Deadguy - Nearly Complete Discography... →
Deadguy was formed in the early 90’s when Dave Rosenberg and Chris Corvino of Lifetime decided they wanted to do a band that sounded meaner, heavier and more aggressive than what they were currently doing. They quit Lifetime, and recruited Tim Naumann and ex-No Escape vocalist Tim Singer to form Deadguy. This worked our wonderfully, because Lifetime didn’t really hit their stride until...

Blood Red - Discography (Ex-Silent Majority,... →
“Let me let you in on a secret, all my heroes I call by their first names” - Blood Red - We’re Not Talking Numbers - Redwood Records EP I don’t even know where to start with this band. They are one of my all time favorites, but I’m not sure how to describe them. They were the third band fronted by Tommy Corrigan (after Silent Majority and Advent), and I’m...

Sons of Abraham - Termites In His Smile + 1... →
Time for a forgotten 90’s classic! Sons of Abraham were an all Jewish Hardcore band from Long Island New York. They were relatively short lived, releasing only a demo, a split with the almighty Indecision, and an LP on the legendary Exit records. They split up in 1998 so that Justin Beck and Todd Weinstock could concentrate on Glassjaw. I read recently that a lot of riffs from the Sons of...

Family Man - Demo (Tim Singer post-Kiss It... →
I honestly don’t know much about these recordings. The line up contains Tim Singer, Andrew Gormley, and Thomas Rusnack of Kiss It Goodbye, and this two song demo is all they released. I’ve seen mention of them having recorded 8 songs, but I don’t know if they’ve ever surfaced. I believe these recordings are from the mid 2000’s. It sounds like Tim Singer fronting...

Kiss It Goodbye - Discography →
“Our mission is to put the fear back into hardcore” - Keith Huckins, 1997 Kiss it Goodbye is the angriest band of all time. Period. They are among the best Hardcore bands of the 90’s. They make nearly every other band Kiss it Goodbye formed in New Jersey after the breakup of the mighty Deadguy (I’ll post their discography later). Their line up was Andrew Gormley of Rorschach...

Downpour AKA The Power and the Glory - Discography →
It seems appropriate to follow up the Your Scene Sucks download with the discography of a band I got into through that comp. Downpour was a metallic Hardcore band from Atlanta, Georgia that formed in 1996. They formed from the ashes of a band named Broken (if anyone has recordings by that band, get at me, I’d love to hear them). They released one EP, one full length and one compilation...

Various Artists - Your Scene Sucks! →
I’m going to preface this by saying that this is my favorite compilation of all time. All time! I like it more than The Way It Is, more than the Power of Ten comps, more than the Generations comp, more than this Boston Not LA. This is my personal favorite. The reason for this is that no other compilation has impacted the music I listen to, or turned me on to so many great bands as Your Scene...

Genuine - A Bond Still Strong LP + The Pessimist... →
xnewethicx: newwestcrew: The Genuine LP is one of NWHC’s best kept secrets. It was the second release by the band, who originally wasn’t a band. It was originally Arron Connell (Aaron Edge) of Harkonen/Grip/Himsa recording all of the instruments/vocals. The EP is just that, and it’s included mostly just to add some meat to the download. The LP however is essential listening for fans of late...

Shook Ones - Collected Recordings 2004-2010... →
Shook Ones are one of the best active Punk/Hardcore bands right now. Each record they put out just keeps upping the ante. I know that this band is big, but I don’t see a ton of people on here hyping them up. I think that has a lot to do with the fact that during their existence their fanbase has shifted from Hardcore kids over to people on the fringes of underground/independent music IE:...

Jets to Brazil - Rarities and Demo →
How would you react if I were to tell you there was a band that had members of Jawbreaker, Lifetime, Texas is the Reason, Ressurection, 108, Insight, Iceburn, and Handsome? Well, that band existed (and broke up 10 years ago), and they were called Jets to Brazil. Now, it’s not like this band’s existence is a secret. I’d like to think that with the rampant jocking of Jawbreaker on...

Alone in a Crowd - EP + Extra Studio Track + Live.... →
The Alone in a Crowd EP is one of the best NYHC records of the 80’s, and by extension, one of the best NYHC records period. Alone in a Crowd was an interesting project. Side By Side had just broken up and Jules Masse wanted to do a one off project with a harder vibe. It also had members of Killing Time, Judge, and Breakdown. It ended up sounding like other Youth Crew bands mixed with...

The Suicide File - Live on WERS →
One of the best early 2000’s Hardcore bands. I see them jocked on here often enough that I don’t really feel like I need to give much of an introduction. I guess I’ll just pander to the tumblr crowd by saying that a member of American Nightmare is mentioned during this set. As an aside, the dude was also in Panic. As an aside to that aside, Black Flag was originally called Panic....

Minuteflag - S/T EP (Black Flag/Minutemen... →
At this point, The SST catalog seems to only have two types of records, “classics” (Black Flag, Husker Du, Minutemen, Descendents, Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, etc…) and stuff that no one seems to have heard of (Lawndale, Leaving Trains, Tom Troccelli’s Dog, Fatso Jetson etc…). For some reason the Minuteflag EP seems to be to be largely forgotten, or possibly just...

This one is for Boldchoice! Not only because he requested it, but because he also hooked me up with mp3s of the demo! Crucial dude. This is the complete discography of the mighty Downcast. Downcast was a heavy Hardcore band from Southern California. They’re notable for a variety of reasons, one of them being that they were the first band on the mighty Ebullition Records. First off, is the...

Rosary - Discography (Lucas MacFadden from Go It... →
Rosary is one of Northwest Hardcore’s best kept secrets. They were a Seattle based band who released a Demo, a couple of compilation tracks and “studio bootleg” that one of the comp tracks came from, and two songs or may not have ever been released. Any Seattle heads who know more about this band feel free to chime in. For the longest time, I had only heard two songs by Rosary....

A couple people wanted me to post Indecision stuff, but pretty much all of their rarities/comp tracks etc… have been collected in the Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall collection. I’ll try and track down some live stuff, but for now, I’m gonna go with the often overlooked Rachel Rosen band, The Wage of Sin. As an aside, she was also in Milhouse, who are tragically overlooked as well. ...

Pegboy - Five Rare Tracks →
This one is for Hunter. Pegboy was a great, but tremendously underrated Punk rock band from the fine city of Chicago. They’re often relegated to the status of a footnote in the history of the legendary Chicago bands Naked Raygun and Big Black.  I honestly believe that Pegboy was better, although not more influencial, than either of those bands. Pegboy sounds like a combination of John...
